California Trip Notes

It’s been about two weeks since I returned from San Francisco. I knew no one, but was able to meet a few people in my hostel as well as around town at coffee shops and whatnot. I even met a goodly fellow in the terminal on the plane ride home with some unusually helpful tips on how to get a new job in tech.

Unfortunately, I didn’t spend nearly enough time there. It was foolish to think I would be able to see the entire city in just four days. It wasn’t all for naught though. I was able to get some great pics and see a side of the U.S. I have not seen before.

Some block in SOMA.

A payphone? In San Fran?

Clearly should have invested in a better phone for this. Oh yeah, this is the Orpheum: a pretty popular theater near SOMA

NOT Golden Gate. I was too lazy to get out there, but instead spent lots of time in the southern portions of the city.

So, this isn’t even San Francisco… but I thought it was worth putting up. This is the Denver Airport. Do not plan anything if you come here. You are too far away from the city and it is prohibitively expense to get there via Uber.

Dark block in the Financial District

San Jose. meh.

If you made it here, you have just seen a stream of consciousness. I’ll have more pictures later on.
